You’re not the only one with the 3 red lights. Over 3 million units sold have this problem & your options to fix it are limited, either wait 4-6 weeks & pay Microsoft a Sh** load of money or repair your 3 red lights Yourself in the next hour! Microsoft? Sure, that’s a good choice. If you have your receipt, are within your warranty period, have a month or more to wait, oh and another 140 bucks…. But, for the sake of argument let me just tell you what you will find if you call Microsoft. I would hate for you to waste your time like I did so I will describe it for you…. Ring, … Ring… *elevator music*…. “Thank you for calling Microsoft, your call is very important to us. Unfortunately all our customer service reps are busy with other customers. We will be with you shortly”….*elevator music*…. Wash, rinse, repeat for over an hour! Yeah, don’t waste your time. Evidently, I am not the only person to have this problem.
In fact, after browsing the forums I come to find out that Microsoft is FLOODED with these 3 Red Light Problem complaints. Another thing I find out on the forums is that a lot of people are being given refurbished 360’s from Microsoft with the same exact “3 Red Lights of Death Problem” You got to be kidding me! So after finding that stupid receipt way under my bed, and paying $140 and waiting 2 months I got back the same problem? Awesome. No, I don’t think so. First to YouTube. Yup, there are a ton of videos on how to fix this problem on there. If you would like a good laugh with your buddies, definitely check these out. Especially the towel trick – priceless. Unless of course you actually want a solution….then the YouTube videos are just going to confuse you.
Then I went old school. Yes, I too took the console apart to blow compressed air all around. However, much too late for that I am afraid.
Okay, I am going to the experts. Real gamers, real solutions. After scouring the forums I came across one post after another about this website that could fix the problem in under an hour and forever! Of course I thought it was BS, but then it was pages and pages of this stuff – “ Dude I have been reading all your horor stories for the past month and just keep seeing Victims after Victims of the 3 red lights drop onto this thread like there is no end! I was even clowing some of you guys and hoping this s*** wouldnt happen to me. Well guees what? It did! I was watching a movie and all of the sudden BAM! 3 RED MUTH****** Lights! Since I seen the Majority of you (Except you GruntKiller08) fix your XBOX 360 with the 360 Ring Of Death Fix Elite Guide I decided to take a dive and fix it for my self.
I have to say the damn fix worked for me too! The damn fix only took me about 36 minutes to do. This thread should be a sticky on the forum. I cant belive microsoft is trying to JACK US! ” So I said forget it! Let’s join the SWIM! So of course I tried it. And you know what? It worked! No seriously, why can’t they post that s*** on YouTube! I had wasted some valuable game time trying to find the solution to the problem. But I still didn’t waste 6 weeks and another $140 sending it back to Microsoft. So, are you ready to get your system back to running order? DRUM ROLL….
